Itís no surprise that LaSalle has a history of rumrunning. There are even stories about a shootout in the fields of Lot 19 involving Detroitís infamous Purple Gang. In the spirit of this exciting event, the site should be turned into a rumrunning museum and whiskey bar, complete with gangster-style paintball games in the fields. After a sampling of LaSalleís finest hooch, adventure-seeking tourists would get decked out in zoot suits, crawl through fields of tall barley, corn and rye (which would also supply the on-site whiskey still), and shoot each other with purple paint.
